i went to mon ami gabi with my family after a movie. we came at 9:20 and ( i suppose) the manager said nicely could you make sure you order fast because the kitchen will close soon, we said sure. as the second we sit down and get seated the waiter comes rushing by and say, in a rude manner " can you please order fast, where closing soon" and say that another time. then he come to our table and we order. we where pretty fast. my father and mother ordered steak au poivre, and i ordered steak bluecheese. my steak was over salted and had pepper. i was never told that peper was suppose to be in a bleu cheese steak. then we did not see the waiter for the rest of the night, the manager was nice enough to take my plate away and not charge it.

When I got to this restaurant, one of the first things that struck me were how much of a "happening" place this was @ 10:15ish. Our reservations were for 10 and by the time we got here, the restaurant was still packed FULL of people! Everyone was having a good time and it seems like a place people go to catch up. Our waiter was helpful and nice. He told us the restaurant is known for two things, their pates and their steaks. He also recommended a great wine that was very suitable for our tastes. For our appetizer, we got the duck confit which had lentils and onion bulbs. The duck meat was delicious but my bf and I barely touched the lentils and onions. For dinner I got the skate which was real good. The garlic chips tasted good but were disgustingly soaked in oil. My BF got the steak special which had truffle butter on top...DE-LI-CIOUS!!! YUmmmmy :) We got the flourless chocolate cake which was amazing. Overall, my bf's dish and his dessert were really good and my dish was alright. This place seems very popular and I would recommend reservations if you want to eat here on a Saturday night.
