Great table, the rest was forgettable
The four of us were lucky enough to get the table the Washington Post said was the best in the house, and it was. We were sitting in a glassed-in "protrusion" from the building, with no visible means of support. View was not what the ad shows....you're not looking over Tysons Corner, you're looking at it. Just two stories over street level. None of the three waiters who were milling around us knew much about serving, the menu or who was doing what. The salads on the lunch menu averaged $12-15 and when I chose one of the specials not on the menu, the waiter said it would be priced like the other salads. The bill showed it cost $28. I sent the bill back and told them I'd pay it after they fixed it. They did. Pretty good food, but not better than anyone else in the neighborhood. Way overpriced, but like I said, the table was spectacular. Very striking decor throughout, not designed for ambiance or comfort.

somewhat disappointed
nice modern atmosphere, with lots of seafood selections. The quality of the fish itself was top-notch. I had Halibut with an orange-basil sauce. It was cooked perfectly but the sauce was more sweet orange than basil and seemed a mismatch for the fish. My wife had trout but thought it overcooked. The wine list is strictly American, a defect in my opinion, since American wines are generally too alcoholic or too oaky to match delicate fish. Also the wine was warm (said to be cellar temperature, but warmer than my cellar quite a bit) and not of the proper coolness until well into the main course.
