Best sushi in DC
Hands down, this is the best sushi spot in DC. I moved from NY where good sushi is extremely easy to find. DC...not so much. This place has large, fresh pieces of fish and a playful selection of rolls. I've tried the others that Washingtonians have raved about (e.g., Sushi Taro, Sushi-Ko) and, quite frankly, will not be ordering/eating sushi anywhere other than Murasaki in the future. AND you can get opentable points for eating there! Very nice staff, excellent fish.

Great atmosphere, delicious food
This place is a little pricey, but is a lovely place for dinner. The food is consistently of high quality and the atmosphere is pleasant. It is a little pricey, though!

Half Price Sushi!
Okay, so I'm a college student and price is important. But when it comes to sushi, quality is most certainly an issue. This restaurant, located in Tenleytown, DC, can give you the best of both worlds. The sushi is not unbelievable, per se, but it is certainly worthwhile, and freshly prepared to order. And unlike sushi restaurants in the past, I have not once been disappointed with a meal there. The highlight of Murasaki is half price sushi--Mondays through Wednesdays, 5 pm to 7 pm. While it only happens for 2 hours a day, three days a week, my friends and I manage to stuff ourselves full of this tasty sushi for around $15 a pop. Good price, good atmosphere, great food!
