Not recommended
I ordered orange and general tso chicken, shrimp tempura, and beef egg foo young. The shrimp tempura was stale on the outside as if it was reheated and the shrimp inside was almost non -existent. The beef inside the egg foo young was very chewy and did not look like beef. Also the chicken looked strange and smelled weird. When I called them back, They told me that if I didnt like it, I should order somewhere else and that they get lots of orders from other customers who like it! I was outraged.

Good Chinese food, for good price
I recently moved from D.C. to Alexandria and I read many reviews about this place stating it is the best chinese food, well it is not the best but it is pretty Good, the lo mein is too salty because they used way too much soy sauce, other than that their food is pretty Good, I personally think that Meiwah on 21 and M, Washington D.C. is the best chinese in the DMV area, definitely not this one, but it is okay I guess since there is nothing here in Alexandria other than drive thru fast food places. Again - try out Meiwah, prices are a little higher than this one but the food is way better.

OK Chinese takeout
If this is supposed to be the best Chinese takeout in the DC area, then I am not ordering Chinese food when I visit DC again. Now this may be due to my own personal taste, since I detest salt, and all three dishes my family ordered were extremely salty to the point where I found one dish to be completely inedible. I get better, less salty Chinese food from two different takeout places in Texas. However, if you like salt ignore my review since the food was not oily, had lots of veggies, came in large portions, and was pretty inexpensive. The delivery person was very friendly too. I do recommend you confirm your order if by phone, since one of my dishes was not what I ordered. Instead of spicy scallops, I got salty scallops in a white sauce.

Excellent Chinese Food in Alexandria
This is the first review I've written for a restaurant. I usually don't bother. So, it is saying something for me to write one. I was thinking that I would hate for this place to go because no one knew of it. The restaurant serves good quality Chinese food. I tried to find a Chinese restaurant that I liked when I first arrived at Alexandria and I went through several fast-food restaurants, feeling that the chinese food wasn't bad but not good either. However, I was able to find this place, New China Taste. My first year, I lived on the other side of town and the reviews on here motivated me to drive 20 mins to go pick up some food, since I was craving some good chinese food. I tried it and I enjoyed it immensely. My second year, I moved to the other side of town and so I live within delivery distance. The delivery is consistently fast, and the food is never cold when it arrives. My favorites are: fried chinese wings, bbq spare ribs, steak terayaki on a stick, general tso's chicken, hunan beef, peking duck with hoison sauce. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. It's the best I've found so far.

The Best
Lived in Old town for 5-6 years now. Won't get Chinese anywhere else. Their delivery is speedy and friendly. I always tip well--those guys are so nice. New China Taste, rock on!

The Chinese Delivery Food in the Area
Tried many places, but this is by far the best chinese delivery in the DC/Metro Area.
