Snobby Restaurant
I have eaten there twice. The hash brown ala Oceanaire is pretty good, but the wait staff makes you feel like you're dirt under foot. In fact, the last time I ate there, I was looked up and down and it was suggested that I eat at the bar.

Great Food Excellent Service
If you need an ego boost, this is the place to be. The staff spoils you and the food is delicious. I have been a fan since they opened some years ago. I have had almost every kind of fish they offer and have never been disappointed. The side items are definitely for sharing (huge) and very flavorful. The atmosphere is standard and conducive for business outings, family gatherings or a date if they don't mind you slurping down the food and licking your fingers. Believe me it can get ugly especially if you get the muscles for an appetizer (WOW). Ok I am hungry again gotta go. Check it out you will not be disappointed.

Not recommended for restaurant week
We had been looking forward to trying Oceanaire for the first time during Restaurant Week this January. The decor of the restaurant is nice and the atmosphere lively. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre and the service abysmal. Restaurant Week should be an opportunity for restaurants to impress new patrons and this restaurant treated the menu and participants as second class citizens. The restaurant week menu was extremely limited, printed in a small corner on the bottom of the main menu. Further, it was mentioned not once in the long and overly earnest introduction to the menu by our waiter. When we ordered off the Restaurant Week menu, our server decided we were less important than higher paying customers off the regular menu and screwed up our service from appetizer to payment. He rushed us through our meal. He brought entrees in the middle of our appetizers and proceeded to remove plates and put entrees down while others continued with their chowders, feeling like they had to finish in order to have the table cleared of the first course. Then, in the middle of our wine pour, literally while he was pouring a glass, he left our table to exchange jokes and niceties with a neighboring table, and then came back as if we had not been interrupted and waiting. This level of service continued through the meal. Our food was fine, but even for $30, not a good value - better to spend a little extra for the main menu as the ingredients were most obviously less expensive items for the restaurant. Food and service combined resulted in a very poor first experience. We will not eat at Oceanaire again, even to try the main menu, and would caution against eating here if service is important to your experience.
