Fun quick food
I thought this place was great. These reviews act like they were expecting 5 star dining. Its a comfy place with a nice staff and if you like pizza and fried cheese you'll like it here.

Good and easy for take out and delivery
We order from here frequently. The pizza is better than any other place that delivers and the grape leaves are very good. It takes about an hour to arrive. As long as you factor that in, it is a good place.

Don't wait on delivery
Adequate food (that is better quality than when this place was called Johnny Mac's), decent prices, typical fare BUT, don't call for delivery unless you don't mind waiting an hour or more.

Convenience is it's main saving grace
Most of the dishes left me feeling underwhelmed and the delivery service is pretty awful, but for swinging by and getting a full meal in pretty short order, Old Chicago is not a bad choice. The menu has a good variety of items, though the best bets are generally the instantly recognizable options. The pizza, though pretty greasy even for a place like this, is quite tasty. The salads are decent, but the pasta comes pretty wet, making the sauce extra messy. Definitely avoid the seafood. In-restaurant service is good, but it only takes one smoker to cloud up the joint for everyone.

A Neighborhood Pizza Joint
I live nearby and order from here on a regular basis. The food is good, solid but not overly imaginative Italian fare. There are quesadilla and wrap offerings (a nod to the increasing Hispanic presence of the area, perhaps.) The Buffalo Wings are not fried but baked, a nice touch for calorie counters/weight watchers. The seafood offerings are on a par with Arthur Treacher's...pass em' by. The sit-down eating facilities are well-lit and clean with attentive service in a small setting (perhaps 8 - 10 booths). Overall, I find Old Chicago a decent place to order carry out food from and to grab a bite if you happen to want something quick and a tad more filling than traditional fast food.
