service was poor
atmospere was great but service made it not so enjoyable. not kid friendly barely adult friendly

Great value overall!
Great sandwiches and beer choices for a casual meal at the bar. great dinner selections from crab cakes to pasta to dessert. It is a popular place, so plan on a wait. Other than that, it is one of my favorites in DC for value and atmosphere.

Good Dinner......nice place for a date
My date took me here and it was nice. I would DEF recommend making reservations....this place seems very popular and crowded all the time! We got the fried calamari.....one of ma FAV places now to get calamari!! It wasn't breaded too much and the calamari wasn't too thick....just how I like it! We both got the NE clam chowder...wow, it is good! My date got the catalloni de casa....one of the house specialties, it was really yummy! I got the trout parmesean....good but everything else I ate was better. I'm not a huge fan of breading though... However, the place is not too loud so a great place to be able to talk and hear the company you are with. Overall, I would def come back.....and get their calamari and NE clam chowder! :) Delish!

Thanksgiving Dinner
I visited DC during Thanksgiving weekend with my parents and had Thanksgiving Dinner at Old Ebbitt Grill. We love the food. It was so crowded that night that our waiter barely attended on our table, which we didn't really mind. However, it really upset me that people smoked at the bar area and I had the smell of smoke through out my dinner.
