Went at noon on Saturday and were thrilled to see empty tables and extra staff hanging around the front area. After all at other OPH locations the only negative is the long wait on weekends. Despite that it was nearly 15 minutes before we had coffee and even with the idle staff no one bothered to walk around offering refills. Perhaps the temperature, a little warm for even us sedentary diners, had something to do with it. Regarding the food I didn't like the buttermilk pancakes as much as at other OPH and my friend's lingonberry crepes were quite crispy which is atypical. The one undeniable positive: those thick crispy rashers of bacon. Even other places that use a thick specialty bacon can't touch the taste of OPH's.

The pancakes are amazing, flat out. Tons of variety, with a tasty buttermilk base and great fillings. The sheer size of the omlettes is insane, and the apple pancake must be seen to be believed. Just be ready to wait for your food - the lines are long on the weekends and service is often slow.

Food was cold. People were loud. Sour Dough pancakes were bitter. Will not go back.

I've been to this place quite a few times and the only thing that has kept me coming back is the food. Menu is general breakfast material; nice and greasy with thick strips of bacon and fluffy pancakes. Service is very poor though, and if you go at the wrong time you'll get stuck waiting for a table for awhile. I have recently decided to stop going here due to very rude waiters and management staff in multiple situations. I have generally regarded this place as over-rated since people in falls church go crazy for it, but give it a try- you might really enjoy it.
