    The Best Sushi in DC

Finally, a modern, upscale restaraunt where you can get dressed up and enjoy the best sushi in DC.

    Mixed Review

The sushi was very good, but expensive, the house wine was $12 a glass which was excessive. Six orders of sushi-2 beers-three wines plus a 15% tip was $150. The other confounding factor was the noise level, which was 9 on a scale of 1 to 10!! We will go again if we go early and have a drink or two before we go!!

    Nice Atmosphere....but come full!!

Oya is a very nice restaurant and has a great atmosphere. I think it would be a great place to bring a client, date, etc. However, do not expect to be full based on a three course meal. Although the meal was well presented and had a nice mixture of flavors, I left feeling disappointed that I had spend close to 75 dollars and gotten an appetizer, entree and dessert. The value aspect of my rating is where I have to be tough on this restaurant. I am not a large eater by any means, nor do I expect a portion that is in line with the Cheesecake factory, however I expect that a restaurant should leave you statisfied. The peice of fish from my entree was about the size of two match boxes and not terribly thick....In sum, if you want to go to a restaurant that has a nice service and great decor, Oya is your spot, but be warned that you may need to hit up another restaurant after your very expensive meal.
