Very good food. Definitely recommend. Best taramasalata I have ever had.

Parthenon has an atmosphere that can charitably de described as "tacky." The service is earnest and cheerful but occasionally the newer staff don't know the menu or get confused. When the owner, Pete, is in the restaurant 80% of the time, it always works. The food, however, is what Mom made.. The menu is excellent in quality but mundane and very traditional in selection. Every now and then, however, they have a special that is worth shedding blood for. For the atmosphere it is a bit pricey -- for the food it is worth every penny. The local non-Greeks pack the place. In summer tables on the sidewalk compete with the tackiest in Athens but the food is authentically great.
