I took my family there many years ago and the food and service was not the great taste everyone make it out to be.The waiters did not clear the table even after we start piling the plates and buckets in stacks. Just because you can get plenty, does not meat tasty. It was bland. The price was outrageous for the quality of food.

Good Buffet
I was searching for a buffet seafood restaurant here in DC while on a course at NDU. I was recommended to Philips Flagship and there we were on one Friday afternoon for lunch. We went for the buffet. There's nothing much to say but it was just great for $16.99. The food was fresh and had a mixture of seafood, meat dishes, vegetables and a whole lots of others thats impossible to put it here. I would recommend it to my fellow Malaysian who are here. The service is great too. The waiter just kept coming back clearing our table when the dishes were done ... we enjoyed it and will be coming back.

Not the same Phillips as Inner Harbor or OC
I recommended this as dining choice with some business companions based on my experiences with Phillips' restaurants in Inner Harbor and Ocean City. The restaurant was nothing like the other Phillips restaurants. The buffet was ok, but I was expecting a more extensive menu like their other restaurants. The tables were sticky, the floor was sticky and the decor looked as if it hadn't seen an update since the mid 70's. To make matters worse, we were there for the $4 happy hour and the waiter recommended a drink called the bone crusher. Only when the bill showed up were we told that this was a $12 drink and not part of the happy hour special. The manager was less than helpful and the entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth. If you go here expecting the Baltimore or Ocean City experience, you 'll be in for a rude surprise.

Everything was fishy smelling, mussels were rubbery, crab legs were okay....service was polite, but lacking. This place might have had a great run a long time ago (judging by previous reviews), but it can't have been in the last ten years. Everybody says it's always busy, but I have no clue why. For people who like fresh seafood (the really good stuff) this ain't it!

Best Seafood Yet!
The food, service and atmospere were outstanding! I've eaten at some seafood brunch buffets but Phillips was the best yet and I don't think anyone can top their quality and service. We sat pratically on the dock overlooking the water. And there was every kind of seafood you ever wanted and excellent food for breakfast and desserts. Happy that my wife made me stop in.

Memorable
I have only been to this restaurant one time and I can't get it out of my head. The food was fantastic and with the buffet, you get plenty for your money. The waiters were very helpful and it was an overall very enjoyable experience.
