Always crowded, but that's a good sign

This is the best and most authentic pho you can get in the DC area. The broth is slightly more oily than at other pho places, but that's where the flavor is. The add-ins could be a little fresher, but that's nitpicking. It's a really satisfying meal in a bowl. Definitely try the Vietnamese iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk. Regular bowl of pho and iced coffee for 2 is around $15. What a bargain!

    Pho-nomenal

It's got it where it counts...feels like you're eating in an elementary school cafeteria but you won't care. The food is outstanding and you fill up on $5. No parking but worth a walk/wait.

    The best pho in DC

I look for five things in a pho restuarant 1) quick service. 2) fresh cuts of raw meat on top of the pho. 3) clear broth without any debri or cloudiness. 4) lots of garnishes (bean sprouts, mint, and LIME (not lemon). 5) stern, efficient, unsmiling service. This place has all 5. This is for me the standard where all other pho restuarants are compared to (in US and Viet Nam). This is the most consistent place for a good bowl. A few times the broth may be a little bitter or cloudy, but usually is has the sweet taste with a hint of anise. I've been going to Pho 75 for over 20 years (usually to the one on Rt 50). Over the years, it has made me proud and happy to see so many different people in the place hunched over a big of pho. Make sure you come here.

    I love Pho 75

The pho is so delish (not so much for the chicken soup). don't expect friendly or accomodating service - ask for it if you need it, the waiters won't come back to your table.
