This place deserves the very best in rating. The food is absolutely delicious, reasonably priced, everything is clean and spotless and the service top-notch. I get real Italian bread with my spagetti and olive oil. The servers are warm and friendly and make me want to come back. Highly recommended.

In a time when most restaurant entrees in the Washington area are over $20.00 and wine sells for at least $8.00 a glass, Pines of Florence delivers outstanding value for the money. I travel to Washington often throughout the year and no matter where I'm staying, I make it a point to take the METRO for at least one visit to the Pines. The veal and seafood dishes are my favorites, and the price , service, and atmosphere make for a very pleasant lunch or evening meal.

I'm surprised by the negative review of this place. I can't even remember how many times I've gotten takeout from here and have been pleased every time. I've gotten it several times with guests visiting, and no one has ever been disappointed. The pasta fagioli soup is particularly good, and even the "simple" things like ziti are impressive. They have always been pleasant about requests like extra sauce. A good value, and in my opinion, a staple for area takeout.

My girlfriend and I got some takeout from there. Both our meals were bland and forgettable. For what we paid, I expected much better food. Portions seemed small, rolls were too hard, and I ordered cheesecake for dessert and all I got was two, small wedges that looked they would fit in a Happy Meal.
