poor takeout, bland food
I ordered standard fair: pad thai, chicken satay, and a red curry dish, for takeout and all were extremely disappointing. The peanut sauce was cloying and far too thick and sweet, while the pad thai was flavorless. I really wanted to like this place and, on a positive note, they did get my takeout order correctly and were very nice. The restaurant is located in a basement and had loud music on but I was only in there for a minute. I suppose if you get past the taste of the food, Sala Thai is fairly cheap for a meal (the portions are all extremely generous).
