A Great Neighborhood Restaurant
FINALLY!! Brookland has a good neighborhood sit-down restaurant that serves ethnic food. San Antonio Grill is great company to Colonel Brooks Tavern. It has a nice menu featuring both Mexican and Cuban dishes. The ropa vieja is quite good, as is the lomo saltado. Beware of the margaritas!! They're HUGE and really really good!! The owners have done a great job in remodeling the space, which used to be the much cherished (and lamented) Kelly's Ellis Island. This is a great resurrection, with bright cheery colors without being too cloying or predictable.
