amazing
I am Indonesian, and i came here (dc) for business trip. Every where I go,I always looking for my country food, and I found Satay Sarinah, went here and we had Risjttafel ( five course meal includes soup ,salad tons off main course and dessert$26/ person ( it's a deal let me tell you). The food is Amazing, just like in Indonesia, the flavor, the taste and the price....excellent. The only thing different is fried banana with ice cream, we don't eat fried banana with ice cream there, but it was really good. Next time I come here, I will try their Javanese fried rice, sounds good. They also have avocado smoothie..., that will be next.

Great and very unique place
I love this place and come all the time. The people here are so nice and the food is delicious. It's always fun to experience with new menu items, but I can't recommend a favorite because I've never been disappointed in anything I've ordered. If you are adventurous and looking for something different from the same ole Thai or Chinese food restaurants, try Satay Sarinah. You will not be disappointed.

The real thing
It's out of the way but well worth the trip. The food is authentic, diverse and generously flavored. While the setting is modest, the service is friendly and efficient and the atmosphere relaxed. I have visited Indonesia and delight in the chance to reexperience its rich cuisine so close to home. I highly recommend this place.
