Best all around Thai nearby
This place served amazing food back in '99 when I lived here, and now that I've moved back to the area...I'm surprised how well it has held up. I can't say I've had anything bad here, but the tamarind lamb is one of my favorites. Good but slightly greasy pad Thai, really yummy larb gai.

I love the Sawatdee...
I love the Sawatdee...after many years of living in SEAsia, I always come back here...the manager is lovely, and the staff too, and the food is SO GOOD....Sawatdee Kha....

Great food, average service
Tried Sawatdee recently and the food was amazing. Went with a couple of friends and we tried a curry and a noodle dish and both were exceptional. Definitely the best Thai food I've had in the area.

The best!
This place is a gem! The food is great, real Thai flavours, and there is plenty of variety. The service is always quick and friendly. We have been going regularly for two years and always have a great experience.

Great thai in Courthouse
This restaurant is a great value and caters to people who like very different kinds of Thai food - my boyfriend loved his spicy beef dish while I was in heaven with my steamed fish. Be careful of the spiciness, but everything is fresh and the menu offers a great [select]ion. Only negative was the proximity to Courthouse Plaza - the sound of an electric door opening and closing somewhat dimmed the atmosphere. Would definitely return!

Always Delicious
We've eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants around the DC area, and we think Sawadtee is one of the best. The food is consistently good and the service (whether eat-in or take-out) is always friendly and efficient. My favorite appetizers are Kao-Klook Spicy Coconut Rice and Papaya Salad (though I've never been disappointed with the other choices). I have too many favorite entrees to list here!
