I've tried a handful of arlington area delivery chinese places and this one is hands down the best. The food quality is always excellent and if you're a fan of spicy foods they will not disappoint. If you ask for something extra spicy it'll make you cry (good thing).

I have been coming here for five years and they consistently deliver good chinese at a reasonable price. If you want gourment chinese then, you should be eating at mei wai in dc, but this is a family run take out style place which provides a very good deal for lunches and dinners.. Try their hunan chicken.. very good.

I thoroughly enjoy the Lo Mein there and the General Tso's chicken. I've also eaten on the patio they have there and enjoyed the view of the block very much. It is also in the heart of Ballston and Virginia Square so it is very convenient for anyone in those neighborhoods.

Called "Shady Wok" by some locals, don't be fooled. This place has excellent food, large servings and a great price. The General Tso's is my favorite, like it with a little cook. The soup never disappoints. This place is one of the few food gems that I will miss when I leave Arlington. Carry on Shady Wok.

My experience at the wok was pretty darn awesome. I order the steamed vegetables with the kung pao pork. My tongue was tantalized with the beutifull and delicate flavors that chef sichuan puts into his creation. Keep up the good work guys!!

Don't be deceived by the outside. This is the last house in a neighborhood of high rises. This place was recently renovated and provides outstanding food and service for the price. The portions are large and the ingredients are always fresh. If you are an eggplant lover, they've got a wonderful Chicken with Eggplant. The Sichuan Chicken is also very good. They may have some of the best cheap lunches in Ballston with lunch specials at only $4.95. If you like spice - just tell the chefs they will make it spicy! The Hunan Pork is delightful (if you don't like spice make sure you tell them to go easy on the heat). There is nearly always seating available, inside or out. It appears that most of their clients are delivery or carry out. I've never seen it slow at the register - even when the construction workers on the next block cut off power, the chefs continued to prepare meals by candlelight.
