    Delicious Asian Dining Value

Although Happy Hour $5 martinis and 99-cent sushi (delicious!) lured my husband and me to Singapore Bistro, we've been going back ever since for the food! He's a fan of the teriyaki chicken and grilled salmon while I'm addicted to the Indonesian and Malaysian dishes (esp the laksa). SB prepares a cross section of Asian cuisine quite well, which is unusual but a delight. Management and the servers are consistently friendly and welcoming. All in all, Singapore Bistro is a delicious dining value which warrants repeat visits.

    It's great restaurant

This restaurant is great. I took my business partner there for lunch and the service was nice. The food was good and fast. Ask for the upstair table. They have better view and more separate from crowded traffic street. Sushi, seafood salad and all other food was great. Highly recommended!

    Sushi and more

We enjoy going to Singapore Bistro - very welcoming staff and service, and excellent sushi and entrees. Let Grace or the waiters choose your food - they'll come up with something wonderful.

    Food was good, Service lacking

I love Malaysian & Indonesian food, and was excited about going to Ivy's Place the first time. I've been twice now, and both times I concluded that while the food was good, service was anything but. In our first visit, the waitress brought our starters out a full 10 minutes after the entrees were delivered (we assumed she had forgotten to put in our starter order at all). Worse, she seemed shocked that we no longer wanted the appetizers. Both times, the food was good, but not as good as other local restaurants that also specialize in this regional cuisine (e.g., Malaysia Kopitiam & Straits of Malaya). All in all, a good choice if don't want to bother traveling to Dupont Circle.

    Don't Go Here

This place was not good. The service was not. There were hardly anyone in there but it still took them 45 minutes to get our apps to us (we had soup). They gave us the wrong entrees, and once they finally gave us the right one it tasted very off (they find a way to use the fattiest parts). I hope the quality of food isn't like this at all the all-in-one asian restaurants that populate this city.
