Do Not Bother
we have tried the place a few times because my daughter loves crepes - but the food is rarely good and the service is never... they can't handle any business and its not worth your time or money

Quaint & Enjoyable
I went on a Saturday as well (7/31/10), and I did pay with cash so I'm not sure about the posting that stated they don't accept cash. Maybe they changed that policy. I ordered a sweet crepe with ice coffee. Both were very enjoyable. I found the atmosphere to be quaint, and recommend sitting out back in the courtyard. I was there late, so it was pleasant outside. I would definitely go again. I was visiting a friend in DC, so it was nice going to a place only a local might know about. I would definitely go again. I would like to try other items on their menu.

I went on a Saturday night 11/03/07, I thought I was lucky since there was no one in line and it looked very quiet. I ordered a Veggie Crepe (spinach, mushrooms, caramelized onions and cheese). What could go wrong with that combination? Well I was in treat for a lesson. I parted with my money and my appetite simultaneously. I decided to watch my crepe come together. I did not get a fresh warm crepe, instead I got one from a pile that was made earlier in the day. I start to panic, but it is ok if they warm it up, maybe add a little butter. I will be good. He lays my half-moon crepe on the cooktop, and proceeds to add the ingredients. First was a huge pile of limp, unappetizing onions which were never caramelized. Then my tiny amout of mushrooms and baby spinach and cheese. He folds it, presses it and puts it in my plate in under 5 mins. I got a bland crepe, with a very cold filling and spinach did not even wilt. Not a Savory Crepe at all!!

Good Crepes in DC
I eat at Snap almost every day, for lunch at work, the food is always good as is the service. They have both regular and vegetarian entres. As well as a good selection of desert crepes. The bubble tea is really good too.

Pretty good crepes, great bubble tea!
Snap makes up some pretty good crepes, I've been a few times and some visits were better than others. Stick to the basics when ordering a sweet crepe - lemon, sugar and butter are all safe bets, try to avoid getting too complicated with sauces and fruits. The savory crepes that I've had were all delicious. Also the bubble tea is well done. Snap is very affordable, and the atmosphere is decent although the back yard dining area and its plastic furniture leaves a little to be desired. One other very strange policy they've started recently is to accept NO CASH, only credit and debit cards. While this shouldn't be too much of an issue nowadays since almost everyone has cards, it is very odd to not be able to pay with cash...even if you wanted to.
