I have enjoyed Sumah's restaurant for nearly 10yrs now. The husband and wife are the nicest people. The food is wonderful. Looking forward to my next visit.

Best West African cuisine east of Freetown! The saki tomboi alone is worth a visit to Sumah's, but the other dishes are great, too. Friendly atmosphere. No alcohol served (but the ginger beer is excellent)...so bring your own Star beer.

I love Sumah's. After living in Sierra Leone (pre-civil war) I thought that I would never enjoy true Sierra Leonean "chop" again--cassava leaf stew, potato leaf stew, groundnut stew. But Sumah's brought me right back to Salone with his delicious food. The restaurant is not fancy, and the videos/music are sometimes too loud. But the only criticism I can say for the food is that it could use a touch more red oil in the leaf--and make it available by mail order!
