The Perfect Place for Glover Park
Finally, a great place in Glover Park that serves awesome light dinners quickly and at a reasonable price. I strolled into this place months ago not knowing what to expect and it's now got me hooked to the tune of one a week. I've experienced excellent tacos (the pork and fish are the best), really fresh and delicious salads and top-notch dinner specials in the past few months. I hope it sticks around forever.

Surfside's Upside
I was raised in Washington DC area but have lived in Southern California for the past 24 years. I am very familiar with the style of food presented at Surfside: Mexican assortments with lots of grilled fish options. Having experienced both the poor and the grand that Southern California offers, I had some trepidation as to what a DC restaurant could offer within one of my favorite food genres. Not only was I not disappointed, I was impressed. Two keys make good Mexican and good grilled fish work: (1) fresh ingredients (2) proper balance. If you want cheap Mexican, it can be had. But if you wants grilled fish and/or Mexican that is a worthwhile and a worthy meal, this is a great place. Does that mean you'll pay nearly $10 for a plate of Mexican food yes. But, don't think of it as Mexican food, think of it as a high-quality, wonderfully-prepared and delicious meal and, then, you'll think like I do that it's a great lunch or dinner option. (I have not tried their breakfast, yet.) As for service, there are no waiters, but the food is made to order, very fresh and arrives quite quickly.
