    good delivery

I haven't eaten at the restaurant yet, but I have ordered delivery twice and was pleasantly surprised. It's upscale Indian, so smaller portions and lighter, less creamy sauces than some places, but the flavors are really fantastic and it was delivered on time and exactly what I ordered.

Quality Indian Food Establishment in Georgetown

Despite Dr. Khan's negative review, I decided to try Taj of India anyway and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, service and atmosphere. I suppose that just goes to show that you can't always trust reviews. I went with one other friend and we ordered the lamb curry and lamb dopazza along with two servings of naan. We were both quite satisfied with our dishes. Although slightly spicier than expected, the curries were flavorful and the lamb chunks, tender and juicy. The prices were similar to other nice Indian restaurants that I've been to. However, I was really impressed with the service and atmosphere. Granted, my friend and I went at an off-hour. However, our waiter did a phenomenal job of keeping our glasses full and tending to our needs without being obtrusive. Also, the atmosphere was cute and romantic - definitely somewhere I would consider going for a date. To top it off, the manager of the restaurant came by to see how we were doing and to make sure that the food was up to par. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed dining at Taj of India and plan on going back there. I would encourage you, if you're reading this review and considering eating there, to give it a chance.

    Disappointing Indian Food

This is truly the poorest Indian food I have ever had. Not only did it turn up 1 hour and 30 minutes late, it was cold! The chicken biriyani was dried out with a yoghurt sauce that had been diluted down to a water like consistency. The vindaloo was tasteless and the naan rubbery in consistency all at a pretty hefty price too! You'd be better of eating at McDonalds!
