wonderful
Me and my family took a visit to Taste of Jerusalem on 3/15/07, there were about 10 of us and we all had a wonderful experience. I had the lamb shank and for appetizer I had the fattoush salad that had a fantastic pomegranate flavor and texture. For dessert I had the namoura yummy with the best Turkish coffee I have had in years. The kid's also had something to eat so it made it easy to stay. The server was very nice and she made very frequent checks to make sure everything was OK and everyone one was happy. She also told me that they are going to start doing promotion like half price martini Monday, half price beer Tuesday, and free appetizer with entree on Wednesday. We will be there more often, it also nice that its family owned and operated, and the restaurant is clean.

Pretty good Middle Eastern restaurant
I went to this restaurant on a Saturday night with family (adults and children). We ordered appetizers--Jerusalem salad, falafel, kibbeh, and fatyer. The salad and fatyer (spinach triangles) were good. The falafel was okay. The Kibbeh was not as tasty as we had hoped. For main courses, the kids had grilled cheese and fries, which were good. Adults ordered shishi kabob (pretty good), stuffed quail (good but needed more flavor), and lamb chops (good but a little burnt). All entrees came with delicous egg plant. For dessert, the ice cream was very good. I ordered almond cream cake, which was excellent. Service was extremely slow even though the place was almost empty. The problem was the kitchen, not our server. Taste of Jerusalem doesn't hold a candle to Bacchus, which has much more variety and much more flavor.

Best Middle Eastern Food in DC
What a great experience me and my husband had. We had ordered the feast for two for a great price of 56.95 you can choose any get 6 appetizers , 2 soups , 2 entrees, and two desserts boy were we stuffed we ended up taking half of it home , next days lunch :) The wine menu was also excellent and we enjoyed a wine for a valley in vin de pays d'oc. My husband really enjoyed the lamb shank and the kibbeh I really enjoyed the chicken M'sahba and the spinach pie were just delicious, and our server who happened to be the owners daughter was very welcoming and she paid attention to the smallest details.Silver Spring really needed a restaurant like this one. I really hope this restaurant stays around for a longtime.
