Best Kept Secret in NW DC
Hidden away in the Chevy Chase Bank Building, you descend a spiral staircase to a lovely, romantically-lit bistro. The food is exquisite and the service old-school impeccable. The menu is just a starting point since the specials each night are numerous and your waiter can describe them in detail. I have yet to order a poorly prepared dish. The ravioli appetizer is a favorite as is any veal dish on the menu. This is my favorite restaurant for special occassions, especially Valentines Day when a prix fixe menu allows them to cater to large numbers without the patrons feeling rushed or overcrowded. Save room for their "tasting" dessert--a selection of several dessertson one plate--or my all time favorite, fried milk. Allow time to savor the flavors over a glass or bottle of Vini Verde.
