I really want to love Teaism. The space is attractive, the food looks great on paper and the tea list is excellent. This being said, although I have eaten here many times I have never been impressed. The shrimp rolls can be good, but often I am handed a plate of soggy falling apart rice paper wraps spewing noodles. You can't pick them up, you need a fork and spoon. The meat- based entrees are consistently overcooked. The salads are bland, with the exception of the seaweed. The tables are almost always crowded and it can be very loud. The service is. . . present. I've never seen any of them smile. I would recommend sticking to the teas- especially the Japanese sweet green tea, which is lovely. And take it to go.
