Good food; unclean facilities
We recently had Sunday dinner at Great American in Alexandria, and the food was what you'd expect a good Sunday dinner to be: homestyle, hot, fresh and tasty. I can't say much negative about the food. The building itself is another story: dusty, dirty and shabby. Saying "you get what you pay for" doesn't fly: cleanliness shouldn't be abandoned because it's economical. Dirty carpet and caked-on grease on the woodwork. And would it kill them to monitor the bathrooms? Had I gone before I ate, I would've gotten a refund and left. The ladies room was that dirty. Tasty as it was, I won't go back.

Good for family
The resturant on route 1 in Alexandria Va, has really good food but the place is really in need of updating. It looks so drab and dirty you don't want to eat. Needs remodeling super bad.
