    Best Thai in Alexandria area

This is our go to take out place for Thai food in the Alexandria area. The Drunken noodle and fancy fried rice are not to be missed. We have had all of the curries and many of the other main dishes and all have been delicious.

    Wasn't impressive

I ordered Satay and seafood fried rice and very disappointed with the food portion. With the prices I paid, I expected more quantity and quality from To Be Thai. The taste is unappetizing. I don't think I will go back to this place again.

Best Thai in the Alexandria Area

I've had some pretty unappetizing Thai before (unappetizing enough that it went right in the trash) and have been to quite a few Thai places (most are pretty good) - but To Be Thai is consistently perfect every time (we've been going here for years). The food is really what makes this place great. We've had a number of dishes, usually Chicken or Tofu. I especially like the Red Curry (if you like spice), or if you're not into spicy food the Kra Ree Curry and Chicken Rama are really good too. All the desserts are great (you really can't go wrong there), although they do leave you wanting more. Thai Ice Tea/Coffee is great if you're a latte fan. It might be nice to see updated decor (esp. by window/wall area), but of course the food is what really matters. My main complaint is the lack of delivery (or even better, an online order and delivery service like Seamless.com) - it'd definitely be worth it even with a $2.00 delivery fee, so hopefully they'll find a way to make that happen some day!

    Delicious! A family favorite!

We bring family and friends here all the time because the food is SO delicious. Food is made with fresh ingredients, and made fast and fresh! The staff is nice, everything about it is great. Definitely give it a try, it'll soon be your new favorite restaraunt!

    Outstanding Restauant

We eat there on the order of every other weekend because of the exceptional quality of the food. In addition, the management is quite accomodating allowing us, e.g., to substitute onions for the potatoes in one of their curry dishes.

    Consistantly great food, healthy portions

Love it. Great selection of food, vegan, vegetarian, and meat options, high quality ingredients, prompt service, kind employees, consistently good. I always get the Panang Tofu and it is always steaming hot, flavorful, and made with care. It's our number one go-to in this house! Price is reasonable and DEFINITELY worth it. To the people complaining about small portions: this is the size portion people SHOULD be eating. It's plenty and delicious.

    Smallest portions you can serve.

The chicken skewers appetizer was small. Four pieces, yes, but each is barely a bite. My actual dish did not fill me up. It was about half the size of a normal dish.
