The pizza is really good; however, I recommend going to the store part where you can take home pasta (made by them), sauce and Italian specialty items. Also try the cannolis. Oh yeah, the service - completely rude. I buy/order what I want quickly and get outta there.

Oh, man. My god, this pizza is amazing! Here's how they do it: They take their fresh dough. They put the cheese directly on it. They put the sauce over it. They put extra toppings on top of the sauce. IT'S WEIRD AT FIRST, BUT COMPLETELY AMAZING. Here's a suggestion: Order a white pie with onions and whatever else. Take a slice of each and put them together like a sandwich. OUT OF THIS WORLD! Just had it last night, can't wait to go again.

By far and away the best pizza in DC. And also some of the worst service. The service is slow and surly. Call way, way ahead and expect to wait 15-20 minutes longer than they tell you.

Great food, it is true though they are takeout-only, there is no where to eat. So it is great for anyone that wants to get a pizza to go, or some fresh pasta to cook, but you can't really go eat there. Still all their food is really good imho so if you are looking for takeout, this is a perfect place to go.

The pizza is the best in DC, yes 2Amy's and Paradiso are good, but not for take out. The frozen (freshly frozen) food is out of this world. The eggplant parm is to die for as are the sauces and homemade pastas. You can't go wrong with whatever you get here. Pick up a pie, bring home a freezer full of sauce and agentolli (spelling?) for another night. Get authentic italian meats and cheeses. The cleveland park one has more of a selection than Bethesda. The staff is not rude, they are just busy and "unorganized" isn't a word.

That is true that the staff is "rude" as the other reviewer says but they do it so everyone gets pizza fast. So yes, they don't waste too much time to kiss the customer's ass. Also I'm a local and they treat me well since they see my kids and me often. As for the pizza - it is great - crunchy crust,, toppings are wonderful. Works great to grab a slice and eat it across the street in front of the library or to get some slices and walk to the Zoo. The beverages are nice too - you may try the bitter Chinotto or the lemonade or orange beverage(in decent size). They also sell wines and beer and have a quite good selection of mediterranean and south american foods.

Decided to walk the 15 minutes from a local hotel based upon online reviews rather than try other more proximal restaurants. Was disappointed to discover that they had somehow misplaced my telephone order called in earlier. It was annoying to witness their rude and dismissing response to their error. Pizza was ok but nothing special. The deli is for take out only so the "atmosphere" rating is n/a.
