it used to be much better :(

pizza and service used to be much better, but has gone really down hill. pizzas have lately been mediocre (burnt) and for my most recent order, they sent the WRONG pizza after waiting an hour an a half (was told 40 minutes!) and then was told that it would take another hour and a half to send a correct one...with NO discount for the three hour wait for a simple one topping pizza..and absolutely no apology from the "owner" who informed me that he did not care if i no longer ordered from them and he didn't care if i posted a review online.

    Best Pizza In Alexandria!

Real Italian Pizza! The sauce is supposed to be sweet, if you don't like the sweet sauce then order from a chain and eat the regular pizza from there. The taste is at another level. Remember this is a Pizza Place, don't expect an excellent service because there are always packed. They have a lot of employees and all of them look really busy. There is no comparison to the taste of this pizza! Give a try before talking about the service. If you want to grab a good slice of pizza this is the place, if you try to impress someone then take go to Italy.

For the price, I'd rather go elsewhere

We miss our hometown, and we are sick of chain pizza. To people who may consider chain pizzerias good, authentic pizza, Valentino's probably seems phenomenal, but to us it was just ok. The staff wasnt too bad, though it took them 10 minutes to even acknowledge us and seat us. The pizza was just way overpriced. It was pretty flavorless and almost not good. Why would I want to pay $30 for a pizza that has canned mushrooms on it? The olives tasted rancid. We ended up spending around $80 for mediocre food. We tried it, wont go back. In our home state we drove 30 miles to go to Garofola's Italiano. I want to make the 8 hour drive back there now after eating at Valentino's.

    Poor service

All I can say is "wow." I have never seen a business that treats their customers so poorly and arrogantly from their driver to their manager. I ordered a large pizza, 2 2-liter bottles of soda and garlic knots, but when the driver showed up late with just the pizza, I was a little disappointed. He then told me that he was going to go get the other parts of the order. After waiting about 50 minutes for the sodas and the garlic knots, I called the store, which put me on hold for more than 10 minutes. I was trying to cancel, but they since it took so long, but it was almost as if they forgot that I was on the phone. A short time later, the driver called and said that he was in front of my building and asked that I come get the remainder of the order. I explained to him that I will not be accepting the order because it had taken them about a hour to bring me the remainder of the order. He then proceeded to yell at me. When I told him that I would be filing a complaint, he said "go ahead and do what you want." So I called the store and asked for the manager. They put me on hold multiple times and a manager finally got on the phone and asked what I wanted. I told him that I would like to file a formal complaint about his driver's verbal abuse and lack of customer service. He then said "what do you think this is? This is a pizzeria, not AT&T. We don't train our staff. They come and go." I told him that I couldn't believe that an establishment that is concerned about business would not at least train their staff to be courteous to their customers. And I told him that I would not be accepting the sodas and the garlic knots and that he could come and get the pizza if he wanted, but I would not be paying for it. He then proceeded to say "I'm doing you a favor by delivering to you, don't worry about it, I'm going to block your number and we will not be delivering to you unless you order $100 or more ever again." What makes him think that I would ever order from him again with the attitude this guy has and the lack of respect for his customers.

    Great pizza, but

The service is poor! Delivery, pick up, and dine in.

    Poor Service

While pizza may be good I will not go there again. Their service is lousy and particularly slow. There have been so many reviews written about poor service and never an improvement from management. I would rather go to someplace with good pizza but great service and friendly staff and management that cares.
