Great garlic pork!
My husband and I went there for lunch on a Friday and were served in less than 10 minutes. We ordered from the lunch special menu. My husband got the garlic pork, and I ordered the combination lo mein. The garlic pork was really delicious with just a mild heat. The combination lo mein was a little bland for me. Large portions for both dishes. Restrooms were also clean. It was interesting to be in the same building that John Wilkes Booth met with his conspirators in President's Lincoln assassination. Would definitely return for the garlic pork.

Food is okay, service is not
Rude service! I worked as a server/bartender for about five years, so I am always one to give the benefit of the doubt to people in the service industry. But, wow! I went to the Adams Morgan Wok and Roll, and placed an order to go. It was going to take 15 minutes to prepare. It was happy hour, so I asked to order sushi off the Happy Hour menu, while I waited. I was told, by a manager that he would not let me order from the Happy Hour menu because I had ordered a take out order and Happy Hour is only dine-in - regardless of the fact I was going to sit there and eat the happy hour sushi in the restaurant. He basically treated me like an inconvenience. I tried to make a little joke about the game on the TV, but he wouldn't so much as respond or look at me. I asked him, I can't just eat Happy Hour sushi dine-in, and buy a little something to go? He said, "we've been here ten years and that's our policy." I didn't say it, but of course I was thinking, "no, you have not been here ten years. You have been here six months. Your sister restaurant has been in Chinatown for ten years, and this restaurant is always empty." I had ordered two dishes- one of which he told me they were out of, and the other which had been put in incorrectly, and looked inedible. I used to order delivery from here 2-3 times a week (food was ok when ordered, but not great.) I will not be giving any more money to this establishment. Went to El Rincon Espanol instead, which was pretty good, and the bartender was lovely.

Good Classic Chinese
If you're looking for Chinese food that you know and love, this is the place. Somehow, they make it so it doesn't taste like cheap carryout. You will leave satisfied.

What a Surprise!
You don't expect top-notch sashimi from 1) a chinese/japanese cuisine combo restaurant and 2) a place called Wok & Roll. But I was very very pleasantly surprised. The sashimi was so fresh and delicious, basically melting in my mouth. The rolls were just ok...nothing compared to the sashimi. Beef Chow Fun was also very good. I would definitely go back, maybe give the rolls another shot, but definitely have the sushi and chinese food again. Great find!

Not bad, though not great
Sometimes the service is a little slow, but the food is a good value.
